To: Rockwell Automation Customers
Valued Customers,
In early April, the U.S. Government released new tariffs on materials and goods imported into the United States. These tariffs included a universal tariff of 10% on most countries of the world and an incremental 125% tariff on China imports. When added to the 10% February and 10% March tariffs the new total tariff on China imports became 145%. These new tariffs in addition to other tariff actions creates new and significant unplanned costs for many companies. Similar to other multinational manufacturers, portions of Rockwell Automation’s product portfolio has had immediate and highly material impact at either a materials, subcomponents, finished goods, and/or supply chain level.
Rockwell Automation will continue to work toward mitigating, minimising, and absorbing as much of the tariff impact as possible and this will continue throughout 2025 and beyond. Unfortunately, given the immediacy, scope, and magnitude of these new tariffs, combined with the uncertain duration and potential expansion, action must now be taken to address these high paced changes in the environment.
Effective May 18th 2025, Rockwell Automation will have a List Price adjustment on a subset of the Rockwell Automation portfolio. A defined list of affected Price Group Codes (PGCs) will be available from your account manager and will vary by mix of products being consumed.
If the U.S. Government removes, expands, or adjusts these tariffs, this List Price adjustment per product PGC group will adjust accordingly. As governments may enact and retract these tariffs over time, this list price adjustment is non-negotiable to minimise the increase and allow for ease of removal when needed.
Relative to system updates, these list price changes are being staged and will be active during the afternoon of 18th May 2025. New pricing will be active following that update and all orders received after that date will be at the new prices.
Rockwell Automation/Routeco will continue to monitor tariff and trade actions by all governments, assuring our compliance with government policies as well as vigilance in minimising impact to our customers.
